So March is here, and for me and millions of college basketball fans, that means one thing—March Madness! And every year, the NCAA tournament always brings excitement, and heartbreak. But it also brings unforgettable moments as teams battle for a shot at the national championship. The beauty of March Madness is unpredictability. This unpredictability is what I love! Schools from across the country, big and small, get their shot at glory. With a single-elimination format, it means every game is a do-or-die battle. And the really fun part is that everyone has a chance to take down a big guy!

March Madness Brackets

One of the best traditions of March Madness, that my family and I enjoy, is filling out our brackets. After that, we then compete for who has the best predictions. But let’s be honest, even the most knowledgeable basketball minds end up with busted brackets thanks to shocking upsets. Every year, powerhouse programs like dUKe, Kansas, Kentucky, and Gonzaga enter the tournament with high expectations. And the mid-major teams hope to play spoiler.

As a tech pastor, I see a lot of parallels between faith and sports. Because just like in life, March Madness teaches us about perseverance, teamwork, and trusting the process. Players and coaches often speak about their faith guiding them through challenges. And the NCAA tournament is full of moments that remind us of the power of belief—whether in oneself, a team, or a higher purpose.
